Drupal: Show the search bar to everyone

Drupal search bar not showing up.

If the search bar is not showing up in Drupal, it is a permissions problem

By default the search bar is only visible for admin users. To enable the search bar for all users, go to

  people > permissions

or navigate your browser to
  <YOUR-WEBSITe.com>/?q=admin/people/permissions

Scroll down to "Search". Check the box

"Use search" for ANONYMOUS USER and AUTHENTICATED USER.

Click the "Save permissions" button on the bottom of the page.
